“hearts” lyrics

i downloaded this song labelled "hearts – live outtake" by bonnie 'prince' billy and i can't find the lyrics anywhere so i transcribed them:

lie like a dog awake in the grass
just waiting for someone to kick his furry ass
look in his eyes and you'll see something there
that really is human if you really care

just take a moment to answer the phone
then take another to really feel alone
just feel the panic of any given day
and tell me what's left, what's left to say

but it's hard to see
it's really you and me [x4]

you fight the whole day, the night comes anyway
fight all night never learning what's right
sending a message to a friend in town
won't change the fact that you brought him around
again and again and again and again and
again and again and again and again

and he's shaking my hand and he's grinning that grin
and you're dancing with me but your thoughts are with him
ignoring the thoughts and the feelings within
of the one who was true, the one who love(d) you

but it's hard to see
it's really you and me [x4]

now he's shaking my hand and he's grinning that grin
he knows that in some way he's taken my place
and all that is left is a pile of bones
and a broken love that never was (?)
and a broken heart well that's nothing new
but it's killing me and you're feeling it too
as we learn in this world that we've found
hearts are breaking all around
hearts are breaking all around
hearts are breaking all around
hearts are breaking all around
